Bio

Kate has spent her career in technology and strategic marketing and has started or been part of six startup businesses. Most recently, Kate co-founded AgingChoices.com in 2017, a CT based company providing data discovery and marketing tools to senior care providers. In 2012, she served as president of the world’s leading influencer marketing company (Collective Bias; sold to Inmar for $100M in 2016). As a serial entrepreneur, Kate has raised over $12 Million to date in early-stage funding from venture capital firms and angel investors.

A pioneer in emerging technology, Kate built two social media and mobile based businesses before 2008, one an early social networking/content marketing website designed to connect consumers with each other — and with their favorite local brands and businesses.

Earlier in her career, Kate led PR and communications for Jupiter Research (now Forrester) pre/post IPO and managed investor/communications around three acquisitions. Prior to that, she built and led global PR and Communications for Gartner during a record growth period and in 1999, developed an Analyst Relations program for KPMG Consulting in preparation for the firm’s IPO.

Kate frequently speaks on the topics of startup culture, digital and content marketing strategy, and the need for more women leaders in technology. Named one of Mobile Marketer’s “Mobile Women to Watch 2010”, she has created courses on digital marketing for several nonprofits and has been a volunteer for SCORE for 13 years, a national SBA backed organization supporting small businesses across the U.S.
