Flaviu Simihaian

Flaviu was born and grew up in Nasaud, Bistrita-Nasaud. He went to the US to play tennis when he was 14, continued his education there and received a B.A. in Economics from Davidson College and an M.S. in Software Design and Engineering from University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He loves solving challenging problems in innovative ways and has previously founded a web-based social entrepreneurship to revolutionize the survey industry. He is now the CEO of Amplicare, a software that helps 4,000 pharmacies in the US make healthcare simpler for their senior citizens. Outside of the office, Flaviu has taught AP Computer Science at his high-school, played on the professional tennis tour, and volunteers with the Rotary Club, of which he is a past-president. As part of the Rotary outreach, Flaviu spearheaded a $40,000 project to equip a computer lab in his hometown of Nasaud, Romania with brand new equipment.
